Alūksne Manor Park

The beautiful town hides lovely surprises. Alūksne Manor Park, created in the 18th century, when the place was owned by Otto Hermann von Vietinghoff-Scheel- the owner of the Alūksne manor.
The park is ranked among the most significant monuments of history and culture in Latvia, because of the number of the preserved small architectural forms, that are being restored and reconstrued nowadays. The Alexander’s Pavilion, the Granite Obelisk, the Bird Pavilion, the Aeolus’ temple, the Pomona ‘s Temple, the Mausoleum, the fountains gleam like treasures in the Manor Park.
The current area of the park is 32 ha, but it seems much larger, as it borders Lake Alūksne. From the park, you can see a charming view of the Temple Hill, peninsula with the the Rotunda- Temple of Fame and the Sun Bridge.
