The adventure of the sound and light of the soul, “MARIENBURG the eighth brother”, which was lost during the Great Northern War, returns to Alūksne’s medieval castle..
“MARIENBURG the eight brother” is created by dramaturge Lauris Gundars, composers and music producers Sigvards Kļava, Mārtiņš Brauns, Artūrs Maskats and designed by Design studio H2E and sung by Latvian Radio Choir, that the eighth tower remembers everything – especially since the birth of Marienburg castle, from the birth of Mary ‘s world till the present day. This is a story about the most important thing – the desire and right to be true, about love that never ends. Aluksne or Marienburg castle with eight watchtowers on the largest island of Lake Aluksne was built in 1342.
You will be able to experience the musical legend on Wednesday – Sunday certain screenings from 10:00 every 40 minutes, but the last session of the day will start at 16:00. Monday, Tuesday open with prior application. In order for the visit to be special and safe, your visit over 8 persons must be booked in advance by phone +371 29149810.
