Aluksne is a city, that is generous with nature, walking trails and parks, where children can safely run and have fun. 

In the largest of the islands of Lake Alūksne – Pilssala – there is a children’s playground with different areas, adapted for children of different ages. There are slides, a net, steps, and obstacles for children to overcome, as well as various types of swings, a sandbox, a little zip-line for children. Next to the playground, there are also benches for parents to relax.

There is also a well-maintained swimming area of Alūksne Lake, which is especially popular for relaxation in the summer season.

In the park of Alūksne manor, next to the swimming place “Vējiņš”, there is a playground with a swing and steps, which is suitable for younger kids.

There is a children’s playground in the Protected landscape area “Veclaicene” – in the center of Korneti next to Lake Ieva. It is the right place to enjoy the closeness of nature, go hiking, because here are the starting points of several nature trails or reach the top of the Cornet Sightseeing Tower.
