Vīndedži Boulder

The size of the boulder according to the data of the Latvian Petroglyph Centre:
Height 3 m
Length 6,9 m
Width 5 m
Circumference 20,3 m
Area 52 m³

In the summer of 2010, during gravel excavation in the Vīndedži quarry, a red-brown boulder was discovered. Unfortunately, as a result of excavation, a crack appeared in the boulder, but at the time of excavation, the Vīndedži Boulder was the 10th largest in Latvia.

The stone is located on the Latvian-Russian border, so access requires a special border pass. To receive a pass, it is necessary to send an application to e-mail: kanceleja@rs.gov.lv
