Alūksne is special with a fact, that all four seasons can be enjoyed here with confidence! In the summer season, Lake Alūksne and Castle island (Pilssala) turns into a real idyll for lovers of relaxing recreation. It is so great to catch the sun and the waves of the lake, wind and speed, positive emotions or going for a refreshing walk.

Resting on Lake Alūksne – – it can be an exploratory adventure on Boat “Marienburg”. It can be a relaxing stay together, drive by Paddle boat around the island and watching the bird families, living in the lake. It can be a romantic date, rowing to the Lovers island “Hat”-wrapped in legends. Maybe it will be a new experience for someone learning to row a kayak. For adrenanaline- drive on a motorboat or jet ski! Swimming in Lake Alūksne provides real refreshment. A swimming area is located near the Summer cafe, picnic area and next to the kids playground.

In Alūksne Pilssala have been created Volleyball and basketball courts; outdoor gym have been installed next to the stadium, where you can spend your free time in a healthy way.

Castle island and Temple Hill are connected by Pedestrian bridge of Tempļaklans Street, In the round hours from 10:00 till 24:00 the first 15 minutes are delighted with mood music. From the top of Temple Hill there is a wide view of the Manor Park and Pilssala- over the Lake Alūksne. There is also 37.8 m high Alūksne Sightseeing tower

For lovers of nature and cultural history, we recommend walks along the  gar ruins of the Livonian Order castle  and through the  Alūksne Manor park, which surprises with small architectural forms – Temples, pavilions, fountains, granite benches and the Whispering Lantern.
