Alpine skiing and snowboarding in Ķauķi Hill

Protected landscape area “Veclaicene”, in a picturesque, hilly surroundings, awaits the lovers of a healthy and sporty lifestyle on the 239 m high Ķauķi hill. There are alpine skiing and snowboarding tracks – and just only 15 km from the city Alūksne. Two natural snow tracks are 200- 400 meters long. Guests have access to a ski lift, equipment rental, ski and snowboard tracks, and free parking available.

A complete set of ski and snowboard equipment is available at the equipment rental point, as well as skis, boards, boots, helmets, poles.

It is advisable to contact by phone in advance, as the availability of skiing and snowboarding depends on the weather. 

After the activities, enjoy nature views from a bird’s eye view, which opens from the platform of the 27 m high Dēliņkalns Sightseeing Tower– only 4 km foward.
