"Pupsikbānis" in Veclaicene

An interesting and adventurous trip in Protected landscape area “Veclaicene”” through beautiful landscapes, including places where it is impossible to enter by car. The host of resting area “Katiņkalns” Jānis Vīksne has built “Pupsikbānis” on his own. That is a tractor with a trailer and ten seats.

It can be both a fun family outing on holidays, and an exploratory and sometimes very fast trip around the most notable sights in Veclaicene. “Pupsikbānis” offers two routes–

Circular route (12,5km): Farm “Pauguri”- Katiņkalns – Korneti- Drusku Hill – Renci – Glemping “Muuski”– Katiņkalns.

Linear route (10,5 km): Farm “Pauguri”- Katiņkalns – Korneti- Mišu Honey muzeum.

It is possible to start the trip from a picnic – rest area “Katiņkalns”. The territory has a rest area with a swing, various environmental objects and a viewing platform from which to enjoy the picturesque landscape of Veclaicene. There is also a campfire and tent sites for everyone’s convenience.
