We invite you to enjoy autumn by exploring less- known places in Alūksne region! The landscape of North Vidzeme is characterized by large boulders, which have entered this area as a result of melting glaciers and are part of the same composition as the Scandinavian rocks. Spring is the right time to look at what is around everyone and you may not even suspect the existence of unusual, large and storytelling stones in different parts of Alūksne region.

All the stones can be seen on the map, but in order to make this trip more exploratory and exciting, Alūksne Tourism Information Center invites you not only to feel the great majesty of nature, but also to look at what is nearby near these stones! For example, going to the Visikums Secular Stone– Breakfast Table of Peter I and Silenieki Cross-stone, nearby, you will already reach the External Border of the European Union – Pededze, where the traditions of different countries intertwined. Certainly noteworthy is the Ķurši Church, which stands out against the background of other churches with bright green and blue colors, while the small rooms – with a heat icon and an abundance of gold. When going to the Palpieris Money Stone and the Sipiņi Secular Stone, enjoy the Nature Trails and fresh spring air in Protected landscape area “Veclaicene”!
