"Bānītis Land" marking
In order to strengthen the identity of the tourist destination “Bānītis Land”and promote the recognition of the only regularly operating narrow-gauge train in the Baltics Bānītis territory, uniform design signage has been installed at sightseeing and hospitality facilities in Alūksne and Gulbene counties.
The sign can be found at objects related to industrial heritage – historical stations, bridges, water towers, museums – as well as at places that nurture the craft and manufacturing traditions of the Bānītis land, provide hospitality services and tell the story of the destination’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
The created label is not only informative, but also aesthetically pleasing. Its design was developed bydisign office “H2E”,inspired by the rhythm of the round hills and plains of the Bānītis Land.
Project representative Santa Harju-Ozoliņa says “Labeling is a sign of quality, that confirms belonging to the destination. The label helps create a unified story about Bānītis Land – as a 3,564 km² place of joy, adventure and exciting sightseeing.”
The creation and installation of the sign is the result of cooperation between the associations “Sateka” and “Alūksne Lauku partnerība” in implementing project No. 23-00-A019.332-000010 “Discover and feel the Bānītis Land!”
