Narrow Gauge Train's timetable
The cultural and historical Gulbene – Alūksne narrow-gauge railway and the train that runs along it every day are called “Bānītis”. It is the only regularly operating narrow-gauge train in the Baltic States, as well as a popular tourist attraction and an attractive railway vehicle when traveling through Vidzeme. “Bānītis” runs daily on the 33 km route Gulbene – Alūksne and Alūksne – Gulbene, making two trips in each direction according to the timetable. Important to know– tickets can be purchased at Narrow gauge train from the conductor, payment – cash only.

Bānītis and steam lokomotive Gr-319 “Ferdinands” In 2026, it will run on Saturdays on the following dates: April 4 and 18, May 2, 16 and 30, June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, August 8 and 22, September 5 and 19, October 3, 17 and 31, and December 19.
